Motorola Edge 60 Fusion Debuts with Quad-Curved Display and IP69 Durability
Motorola has officially unveiled the Edge 60 Fusion, marking the arrival of the first device in the Edge 60 series. Notably, it is the first Motorola smartphone to launch with Moto AI straight out of the box. However, it boasts several other standout features beyond AI integration.
Immersive Display & Premium Design
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion comes with a 6.67-inch quad-curved P-OLED display featuring Pantone Validated colors. The curved design seamlessly blends into the frame and back, which is available in vegan leather and textile-inspired finishes, developed in collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute.
The display is 120Hz with an upgraded 1,220 x 2,712 px resolution (compared to 1080p+ on its predecessor). It supports 10-bit color, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and HDR10+, with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits for HDR content. To minimize flickering, DC dimming is used at lower brightness levels. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
Rugged Build & Water Resistance
The Edge 60 Fusion is IP68/IP69-rated, meaning it can withstand submersion in freshwater up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, along with high-pressure water jets. It’s also MIL-STD-810H certified, ensuring enhanced durability. The display even works with wet fingers.
Performance & Software
Under the hood, the Edge 60 Fusion runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 or 7400 chipset, depending on the region. It is available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB.
The phone ships with Android 15, featuring Moto AI capabilities such as audio transcription and summarization, as well as Magic Canvas, which generates images from text prompts.
Camera System with AI Enhancements
The rear camera setup is led by a 50MP Sony Lytia 700C sensor with OIS. It leverages AI-driven Photo Enhancement Engine, which adjusts settings based on the scene, including Adaptive Stabilization and Action Shot for better motion capture.
The 13MP ultra-wide camera doubles as a macro lens, capable of focusing as close as 3cm. On the front, the 32MP selfie camera supports 4K video recording. All cameras are Pantone and Pantone SkinTone Validated for enhanced color accuracy, aided by a 3-in-1 light sensor for exposure calibration.
Battery & Charging
Depending on the market, the Edge 60 Fusion will feature either a 5,200mAh or 5,500mAh battery, an upgrade from the 5,000mAh unit in the Edge 50 Fusion. It supports 68W TurboPower fast charging, capable of delivering a full day’s power in just 8-9 minutes.
Connectivity & Audio
The USB-C port is wired for USB 2.0 data transfer. The phone lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, but it features a Hi-Res certified stereo speaker system with Dolby Atmos. Other connectivity options include 5G (SIM+SIM or SIM+eSIM), Wi-Fi 6 (ax), Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.
Pricing & Availability
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is gradually appearing in global markets. In Germany and Spain, only the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is listed for €330. In India, the phone is expected soon, with pricing starting at ₹21,000.
